I know many of you dread the thought of going to work like I did. I was sick of the whole game: the commute, the hierarchy, the backbiting, the petty intrigue, the never-ending dangling carrot. ![]() I Want Out!Īnd even though other jobs held out the promise of more money, it was apparent to me that Corporate America just wasn’t for me. My salary and job titles grew…along with my discontentment. I obtained an accounting license along with a master’s degree in my field. Over the next 9 years, I morphed into a dutiful corporate servant par excellence. I knew that this job (it was in accounting, by the way) would not give me the long-term abundance that I truly desired, but it would give me the short-term security that I thought I needed at the time. So I did what everyone else does: I took a J-O-B.
